Description :
Regulations covering the Core area :

A national Park is an area open to everyone, but subject to regulations setting out a code of good behaviour.

- No dogs allowed, even on a lead, to ensure the tranquility of wild and domestic animals.
- No picking or taking away. Animals, plants, minerals and fossils belong to the landscape.
- No weapons. Here all animals are protected.
- No waste. To keep nature clean.
- No fire. To avoid forest fires and damage to the soil.
- No noise or distrubance. Peace and quite for everyone.
- No camping or bivouac. Bivouac is allowed only in the area around certain huts, subject to registration with the warden.
- No vehicles. This area is explored by foot, vehicles are not allowed except on authorized roads.
- No paragliding or eitheir aerial sports. Over-flying less than 1 000m above the ground is not allowed, to preserve tranquility to the wild fauna.
- No mountain bikes. For the savety of hikers and to avoid erosion of the trails. However some trails are specifically authorized by order of the public institution responsible for the national Park.

The fines for infringing core area regulations range from €35 to €135. For more serious offences, the Park ranger can make a report leading to legal proceedings.
